The hallway is long and silent, smelling of rain dampened pavement and the comforting, salty scent of play-doh. A faint trail of bubblegum lingers in the air, mixing with the sharp, dry aroma of old library books. You know these lockers and the way the linoleum tiles sound under your shoes, but the building is empty, and the clock on the wall has stopped. Through the glass doors, the world is a blur of grey mist and endless rain. the exit is right there, but you can't remember if you're leaving or if you just arrived.
